My Volunteer & Leadership Experience

Listed below are my Volunteer & Leadership experiences that have contributed to both my personal and professional growth. Over the years I have been presented ample opportunity to make a difference through meaningful volunteer organizations.

YWCA Edmonton

Volunteer Management Committee

I am currently sitting on the board of the Volunteer Management Committee at the YWCA. Through this committee I am working along very talented women with a passion to make a difference. This committee is looking into current volunteer recruitment, softwares, and recognition and how to improve in these areas.

University Campus Food Bank

Team Leader

I Volunteered at the Campus Food Bank during my time at the University of Alberta. I was a team leader for 1.5 years and resided on the board of the Internal Committee. This committee focused on creating a volunteer community and an inclusive safe space. In addition to my committee work I worked with food bank clients completing registrations and ensuring food hampers were received. Through this volunteer position I grew personally and developed emotional maturity.

Radiation Therapy Students Association

Vice President Fundraising

Through this committee I had the opportunity to develop strong leadership skills through organizing and executing  fundraising events.  Through these fundraising efforts I helped our association be able  to host valuable learning experiences and internal events.I also led a RTSA winter raffle which not only raised money for our association but also the  Kids with Cancer Society in Edmonton, developing compassionate community relations. This was an extremely rewarding position

Hardisty Health Center

Volunteens Program

I volunteered at my hometown hospital for 5 years. This opportunity allowed me to experience a long-term care setting in a rural area. Through this volunteer experience I developed meaningful relationships with residents and started to gain knowledge in various healthcare disciplines.
